PCMTec Editions Required: Any Editions.

Howdy! Welcome to PCMTec.

In this guide, we will show you how to set up your first launch of PCMTec Editor and perform a vehicle read.

Once you have registered and received your order confirmation go to the download link here: https://www.pcmtec.com/downloads
You will need to log in to your account if not.

You can then download the full version of the software from that link.

.Net 4.7.1 is required as well so if that is not installed on your computer use the above link to download and install it.

You will need to install the drivers for the cable you are using. Most customers are using the Tactrix OpenPort 2.0 cable. These drivers for the Taxtrix can be obtained in this link.

Now as you have the PCMTec Editor, .NET framework, and the cable's driver installed, you are all set to launch the Editor for the first time. Please make sure your computer has an internet connection so the Editor can connect to the server for user validation and licensing.

Start up the PCMTec Editor and fill in the email address and password you registered with.

Once you are logged in, you are ready to perform a vehicle read.

To perform a read, connect the car to the PC using the cable(e.g. Tactrix) via the car's OBD2 port. Then click on Read/Write Vehicle.

By default, it will read both the PCM and the ZF TCM, click on Read Flash.

After the read, you will be asked to license the vehicle. You can choose to do this later by clicking "No". Either way, choose where you want the read of the vehicle saved and save the file.

If you press "No" from the last step, you can still license the file here otherwise you will not be able to edit the tune.

Once the file is licensed, you should be able to see the file is populated (following parameters are just an example).

Now, you have had the PCMTec Editor fully set up and a tune file ready to be edited.

We also have a User Manual available for general PCMTec Editor usage. You can access the user manual via the Editor or download it via this link.

If you experience any difficulty using the PCMTec Editor, please feel free to raise a support ticket and we shall get back to you as soon as possible.
